3 Easy Tactics to add to your Pinterest Strategy

Ciao bella!

Are you interested in tweaking your Pinterest strategy in order to increase your Pinterest traffic? Without having to increase your content creation? Well, then this is the blog post for you!

1. Create multiple pins for each piece of content

Create multiple pins for each blog or piece of content... Creating multiple pins for each piece of content will allow give you more of an opportunity to show up in People’s searches and smartfeeds on Pinterest. For example, if you have 1 blog post and you create 3 designs for it and then add those three designs to an average of 5 boards - you have 15 pins. All from one blog post.

There is also a best practice rule on Pinterest that suggests you should not post to the same pin to the same board no more than once every 4 to 6 months. But this doesn’t mean you can’t pin a different version of that pin to that board sooner.

2. Experiment with Pin Visuals

Change the looks for your pin designs. This could act as a type of A/B split testing. By playing around with different designs such as dark and light, you can see what resonates with your audience better. You could even play around with the aesthetic of it perhaps being more bold or more feminine and again, seeing what your audience resonates with.

I can recommend having 3 to 4 sets of Canva designs set up as templates and simply rotate through them.

3. Pinterest Keywords

Leverage a larger pool of targeted prospects (people that are already interested in your solution and content) by honing in on your Pinterest keywords. Use keywords that match your content with peoples’ search intent.

To get started with your Pinterest keyword strategy, you will need to:

1. Know who you are targeting on Pinterest

2. Find out what keywords and keyword phrases your ideal client is searching for on Pinterest (and create topics around these keywords). You can do keyword research on the platform itself - in the search bar and in the Trends feature

3. Place your keywords in strategic areas on your Pinterest profile: profile name, your bio/blurb, board titles, board descriptions, and in your pin descriptions

4. Create content around the keywords you want to show up for in Pinterest search
